Giant Rock

This monolithic boulder keeps a lonely vigil in the Mojave Desert. Its base is about 5,800 square feet and it rises 7 stories at its highest point. For reference this is definitely larger than most people's homes and probably about the size of a modest apartment building. It may be the largest freestanding boulder in the world although this claim has not been substantiated. Don't be surprised if you crash a meeting; this is the site of UFO and spiritualist conventions. (Submitted by Trenee)
