It's just impossible not to be happy when you're surrounded by giant sunflowers. Even better, you can pick your own and bring that happiness right back home. The tradition began in 1922 when Teruo Tanaka came to California from Japan as a young boy whose parents worked as farm hands. His love of the land carried him through the decades as he slowly built his own farm. Today Tanaka Farms has locations in Irvine and Costa Mesa, offering produce, flowers, and Christmas trees.
