Historic Idyllwild

Dedicated to preserving the history of this little spot in the San Jacinto Mountains, historic Idyllwild is a small but charming village that seems to take you back in time. Visit the small museum that has an enormous wealth of information about the area from the time that the Cahuilla people settled in the region over 2,500 years ago to the 1800s when prospectors and miners tried to make their fortune here. With its natural beauty Idyllwild was a filming location for many movies and shows including the '80s hit series "Air Wolf."
