Description:
The Zane's Ranch Bridge, located near Eureka in Humboldt County, California, is a historic covered bridge built in 1937 by the Works Progress Administration. Spanning the Elk River, the 52-foot structure features a Queen post truss design made from native redwood. It was the last covered bridge constructed in California until 1967 and closely resembles the nearby Berta’s Ranch Bridge built a year earlier. Today, it stands as a preserved example of early 20th-century rural engineering and local craftsmanship.
