Description:
The Farmer's Market looked a lot different in the late 1880s when A.F. Gilmore bought two dairy farms in the L.A. area. With the introduction of personal vehicles in the 1900s the Gilmore family had the wise idea to start selling gasoline. Seen here is a reproduction of a mid-20th-century pump. Of course, this isn't the only attraction in the area which includes The Grove and plenty of museums. (Submitted by Brenda Rios)
