Hume Lake

Hume Lake is a beautiful alpine lake located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California. The lake is situated at an elevation of about 5,200 feet and is approximately 87 acres in size. It's a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts, especially those interested in camping, hiking, fishing, and other outdoor activities. The lake is named after Frank Hume, who in the early 1900s purchased the land and began building a logging camp. The camp eventually became a popular summer retreat and, in 1945, the Hume Lake Christian Camp was established.
