Description:
One of the highest points on Highway 1 in Big Sur overlooking Bixby Creek Bridge is Hurricane Point. This point is a wide-open area and it's exceptionally windy, hence the name "Hurricane Point." This area is one of the most amazing places to drive through! Be sure that you take in the views of the coast north and south. Hurricane Point is located on the west slope of Sierra Hill, south of Division Knoll and Bixby Landing and 2.9 km (1.8 mi) north-northwest of the mouth of Little Sur River.
