Description:

On the outskirts of skid row is an alley covered in Native American murals and street art honoring their history called "Indian Alley." Stephen Zeigler is credited for starting the outdoor movement when he cleaned up the alley in 2008 and recruited artists to paint back in 2011. Some of those artists included Shepard Fairey, Jaque Fragua, and Native American artist, Steven Paul Judd - the creator of our lead image, "War Paint." The building itself has had a colorful past. It was once a brothel, a haven for communists, a Catholic mission house, and - now - a gallery.
