Jacob Shinner's Grave

One of the casualties of California's mining days, Jacob Shinner was, according to his gravestone, 50 years old when he died. He apparently went up the side of a canyon, got caught in a landslide, and was subsequently killed under the falling rocks. The city relocated his burial site to where it is today.
