Description:
The Japanese Friendship Bell, also known as the San Diego Yokohama Friendship Bell, is a stunning monument located in San Diego, CA. It's a symbol of the friendship and strong relationship between the United States and Japan, particularly between San Diego and its sister city, Yokohama. The bell was a gift from the people of Yokohama to the people of San Diego on the occasion of the United States' bicentennial celebration in 1976. The bell was cast in Japan by the famed bellmaker, Masahiko Katori, and shipped to San Diego.
