Description:
Reminiscent of the Rapa Nui Moai sculpture heads, this redwood sculpture stands about 10 feet tall and was supposedly carved using a chainsaw. RL Blair's 1989 work of art commemorates the Scottish-born naturalist who was known for writing about preserving the Yosemite area. The sculpture can easily be seen from Hwy 198 across from a cattle farm; there is a small turn-off to temporarily park.
