Joshua Tree Futuro House

Saves: 94
Check-ins: 20
Made to be eco-friendly and portable, a few dozen of these prefab houses were designed and completed by Finnish architect Matt Suuronen in the 1960s and 1970s. Very few have survived to the present day and the ones that have survived are mostly uninhabitable. This one is unique because it was lovingly restored by Ronald Jackson after he transported it from Wisconsin. Soon thereafter he turned it into an Airbnb property where people can go glamping in the desert. It's filled with modern-day amenities, such as A/C and Wi-Fi. If you're there just for a look-see, it can be seen from Sunny Sands Dr. While you're in the area check out the Noah Purifoy Outdoor Desert Art Museum which is about two blocks away southwest of the home.
