Kern County Museum

Founded in 1941 as a community effort, this museum didn't officially open its doors until 1945 when WWII was drawing to a close. The outdoor complex is comprised of 50 buildings and historic structures. The cost of admission is $5 for non-members, a great value for a very authentic look into the past.
