Please don't expect a mall-worthy setup like Barnes & Noble; this is a vintage bookstore with an old-school feel to it. Like the musty, yellow-tinged pages of an old book, Lhooq offers a comfortable, analog feel that is more like "Saturday Evening Post" and not at all like the newest A.I. film. If you're looking for the NY Times bestseller list, Lhooq isn't the place for you. If you want to enter a realm where time has slowed to a halt, so that you can leisurely browse through out-of-print titles while drinking an espresso, make sure this is on your list of things to do while in Carlsbad.
