Lincoln Park Giant Penny

On February 7, 2022 anyone near City Hall got a nice surprise - a giant, copper-colored penny with a larger-than-life bust of Lincoln in stark relief. 11 feet in diameter, the penny weighs a whopping 1,500 lbs. even though it is made entirely of foam. While the price of installing the colossal coin was certainly more than a pretty penny, the visitor traffic and Instagram selfies that are generated are expected to bring in tons of tourist cash.
