Designed and built by Richard Neutra, this house built in the 1920s seems eerily modern and was so innovative that it set his career in motion. In an era when Art Deco and Neo-Gothic reigned supreme in architecture, Neutra's elegantly simple and geometric designs were quite progressive even for the modernist International Style. You might know the house from two films - the 1997 "L.A. Confidential" and the 2010 "Beginners."
