Easter Island Head II

Easter Island has been the inspiration for artists around the world. California is no exception. Located at Swami Seaside Park is an Easter Island Moai artfully carved out of a tree trunk. Local artist Tim Richards saw great potential for this beetle-infested stump. Thus an 11-foot head looking like an exact replica of the Rapa Nui originals was born. Standing just a couple hundred feet away from the shoreline the surroundings aren't that bad either.
