Marineland of the Pacific Ruins

This theme park had a good run from 1954 to 1987 before finally closing its doors and eventually being replaced by the Terranea resort. Take a trip up to the backlots of Point Vicente Park where you can find decrepit pieces of Marineland awaiting refurbishment including a life-size Bubbles the whale fiberglass statue and assorted cement seals. Rumor is these items will get a new lease on life at nearby Point Vicente Interpretive Center.
