McKinleyville Totem Pole

Built in 1961, McKinleyville's Totem Pole may not be the oldest or the grandest Totem Pole but it is said to be the tallest - with the help of an antenna placed on top. The single redwood from which it came had some years behind it though - 500 years approximately. There's not much else to do in the area but you can pick up some groceries at the Safeway in front of where the totem pole stands. (Photo by Sophia Martinez)
