Description:

Open year round the Gardens receive around 85,000 visitors on an annual basis. It was founded in 1961 by Ernest and Betty Schoefer using the nearby water supply and plants that would thrive in the high-acidity soil. The rhododendrons are very popular with their aesthetic beauty and sweet fragrance. Around 180 species of birds have been spotted here to the delight of birdwatching enthusiasts. The Gardens are closed on Tuesday and Wednesday and open the rest of the week from 10 AM to 4 PM. Tickets must be purchased online in advance.
