Description:

A giant red geometric dog seemingly drinks water out of a large pool of water. This carmine canine is actually spouting water out of its mouth, a modern-day fountain named for the ceramic factory that once stood on the same property. Metlox Pottery, founded in 1927, made signs, dinnerware, and other housewares before closing down in 1989. The name comes from the metal oxide glaze they used to coat their products. The Metlox Dog is in the alley next to Blue Star Donuts.
