A few blocks from the Arden Helena Modjeska House in Silverado, CA is a 75-year-old statue known as the Modjeska Shakespeare. This unique Shakespeare-like statue is regularly painted and dressed up for different occasions by local artists, Pamela and Thomas Wishart. If you happen to stop by and Shakespeare is missing (like we did), he's probably backstage doing a costume change. Note: The statue is on private property and easily seen from the road. Please do not disturb the homeowners.
