Description:
Located off the beaten path, this geological oddity was created over 7 million years ago when a deluge of lava flowed across the land and then hardened to form nooks and crannies in the earth. To get there take the 1-15 to Kelbaker and then make a left on Aiken Mine Road. Be sure to bring plenty of water, some snacks, and a full tank of gas before you head out. If the weather is extremely hot, have some extra coolant on hand for those older cars.
