Monterey Zoo

The Monterey Zoo is at the Vision Quest Ranch in Salinas. The zoo is an excellent place for everyone to experience wildlife. All the animals are well kept and cared for and the zoo offers terrific tours of their facilities where you can get up close and personal with the animals. The zoo houses big cats (lions and tigers), elephants, camels, as well as other safari-type animals. You'll also see exotic birds, bears, and reptiles. There's a bed and breakfast on site called the Safari B&B. The separate bungalows accommodate 2 to 4 people in a family-friendly environment. Monterey Zoo was proudly accredited by the Zoological Assoc. of America in June of 2020.
