Description:

This park has forests, views, mountains, and waterfalls - everything that the northern half of California is famous for. There are 8 easy trails, one of which will take you down to the beach where you can check out some hidden coves. Mount Tamalpais is one of the tallest mountains in Marin County. To get to the scenic overlook take the Verna Dunshee Trail which takes you past an old railroad and around the mountain at a very moderate incline. With good binoculars or a good camera you can see the Golden Gate Bridge on a cloudy day.
