Mount Umunhum Radar Tower

This was an important lookout during the Cold War when the Air Force was on constant alert for Russian bombers. Today the cubical 85-foot-tall landmark constructed from concrete is a popular hiking destination. With its elevated position on the summit of Mount Umunhum, it's been affectionately nicknamed "The Great Box in the Sky." (Submitted by Noah)
