A big red barn conveniently located right off the highway is a little haven full of delights in the middle of Bakersfield. Depending on the season you might find a variety of juicy citrus fruits, apples, persimmons, and more exotic offerings such as jojoba nuts, sugar cane, and figs. You can stock up on victuals, order some mac n' cheese and pie, and gas up before you go on your way. The hours are great too - the farm is open every day from 8 to 8.
