Musical Bridge

Between the neighborhoods of Golden Hill and Sherman Heights lies a unique bridge that doubles as a musical instrument. Embedded within the bridge’s railing is a carillon, a collection of bells usually housed together a tower, where they can be played Quasimodo-style. Walk the 25th Street bridge in either direction and run a stick along the rail to hear the bridge’s theme song, “Crab Carillon.”
