Napa County Historical Society

Exhibits, lectures, events, and well-researched publications and educational activities are part of the scope of this society's mission. It was founded in 1948 as a way to preserve the history of Napa (one of the original California counties, established in 1849) - from its earliest native residents, to the Spanish settlements, to the wine country it has become famous for today. The NCHS is located within the Goodman Library.
