Description:

The Napa Valley Wine Train has its roots in the Napa Valley Railroad, which started in 1864. However, the modern Wine Train story began in the early 1980s when Vince DeDomenico envisioned reviving the Napa Valley Railroad's golden age with antique railcars for a luxurious Napa Valley experience. DeDomenico created an elegant travel route through Napa's scenic landscapes and historic vineyards, initially leading to a spa resort in Calistoga and contributing to the development of Napa's tourism industry. Today, the Wine Train takes international guests on a 36-mile round trip from Downtown Napa to St. Helena, stopping at renowned wineries. Through each journey, the Wine Train preserves Napa Valley's history and honors traditional American railroading.
