Nevada Fall

Nevada Fall drops 594 feet from the Merced River over a steep granite cliff, creating a thunderous roar that can be heard from miles away. The waterfall can be accessed via the Mist Trail, a popular hiking trail that starts at Happy Isles in Yosemite Valley. The trail is a steep and challenging ascent, but the views of the waterfall and the surrounding landscape are well worth the effort. Along the way, hikers can also admire the Vernal Fall, another stunning waterfall located upstream from Nevada Fall.
