Description:

Borne of the love that Leon Rudek had for his job as a machinist at the L.A. Times, Newspaper Sidewalk was created from the best headlines of his day. Rudek would take home the more interesting plates of front pages and then make molds in which he poured concrete. 60 plates decorate the sidewalk, although more front pages were used to adorn a slope behind his house. A worthy project of note, hopefully Newspaper Sidewalk will be preserved to ensure a long life.
