Description:
Known for his expensive tastes, "Diamond Bob" and a mule team transported an already-constructed home 12 miles from Buena Park to this palm tree-surrounded meadow. Fortunately for the mules the home was considerably smaller than the final product - which had two wings and a giant colonnaded porch. He lived in the grandiose mansion until 1904. In 2000, the estate and buildings were lost in a fire. Today, the grounds are a public park located right next to the Sunrise facility. (Submitted by Brenda Rios)
