Description:

Meaning "the place of little springs and much grass," this spot was first settled by the Serrano indigenous people of California. It's also the place where the Serrano planted 29 palms in their first year of settlement, celebrating the birth of sons. These palms were integral to their way of life - providing food, shelter, clothing, and tools. The oasis is near a small town. The parking area is a short walk away.
