Description:
Built in 1914 this concrete box served as a temporary jail. It had two cells and would typically hold people who became a bit ornery due to intoxication. It actually wasn't too bad as far as jails went. It had indoor plumbing and toilets (rare for 1914) and the meals were homecooked by the constable's wife. The building has been taken care of by the community for over a century. It's open during daylight hours and is free to visit.
