Description:
The only known water source for miles was an important stop for pioneers in the early 1900s. No one had Google Maps back then, so thirsty travelers and prospectors would spend precious time and energy wandering around looking for it. Finally, somebody stuck a stovepipe into the well, thus making it easy for everyone else to find. Unfortunately, the water was barely drinkable. To get there take Route 190 to Scott's Castle Rd. You'll see Stovepipe Wells Rd. approximately 2 miles ahead.
