Description:
In 1936 the iconic Bob's Big Boy came to life. This Glendale spot is the oldest remaining restaurant in the chain of which there are a grand total of five left. This Bob's restaurant was built in 1949 by local residents Scott MacDonald and Ward Albert. The giant and pleasantly plump pompadour-wearing character was based on a six-year-old by the name of Richard Woodruff who apparently gained those extra pounds chowing down on Bob Wian's ultimate creation - the double decker burger. As a National Historic Landmark you can count on this restaurant being here for future generations.
