Description:

The Olmsted Creek Trail to Del Sol Fire Road hike is a fun and scenic out-and-back hike that takes between an hour to an hour and a half to complete. The trailhead is located at the very end of Via Tejon and has plenty of public parking in the area. For the first part of the hike you'll be on the Olmsted Creek Trail for 0.5 miles. This part of the trail is on dirt and can get muddy in the rainy winter months. After crossing under Via Campesina, you're ready to start the paved Del Sol Fire Road for the next 0.8 miles. This part of the hike has fantastic sweeping views of the Pacific Ocean and Queen's Necklace. When you reach the gate at the end of Del Sol Fire Road, turn around and head back the way you came.
