This is California's highest observation deck - suspended almost 1,000 feet above the ground level. It has a 360-degree view of the surrounding city. Although any time of the day is stunning, nighttime is a favorite for visitors when they can see all of L.A. lit up in like a starry sky. Although the platform is completely safe enclosed by one-and-a-quarter-inch thick glass, one still gets an adrenaline rush from the seemingly precarious vantage point. It is conveniently open every day from 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM and costs about $20 to get in. You'll pay more for extras such as photos, the slide ride, and bar drinks. (Submitted by Brenda Rios)
