Pacific Harbor Seal Overlook

Located about 500 feet north of the River's End Restaurant is an observation point which allows you to have a clear view of the Russian River and the protective land barrier that creates a safe environment for seals. The Russian River is an estuary which attracts all kinds of wildlife to its pool of brackish water. Naturally, the warmer months of spring and summer are the best time to visit when the harbor seals and their pups come in droves to rest on the land barrier of the estuary. As always, exercise driving caution when pulling off the road.
