Pacific Soul Statue

Barcelona artist Jaume Plensa was inspired by the ocean when he created his 25-foot sculpture. The delicate, lacy silhouette of the sculpture is composed of letters from eight different alphabets including Cyrillic, Hindi, and Chinese. Plensa believes that language is rooted in culture but language also connects us all. Just like all art work we can also make our own interpretations of what the sculpture means to us personally.
