Palm Canyon

A magnificent grove has huge fan palms growing around a stream. Some of the palms are 60 feet high and 3 feet wide. The main trail in Palm Canyon is about one mile and follows the canyon floor. It's a wonderful oasis within a desert that is sacred to the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians. The weather can still get pretty hot in the summer. Bring plenty of water and a camera to take photos of the amazing landscape and wildlife. (Submitted by Paola Tapia)
