Pasadena City Hall

The building's inspiration came from 16th-century Renaissance architecture from Italy, but was completed in 1927. It comes from the City Beautiful movement which stessed the importance of beautifying urban areas with grandiose architectural styles. The circular center rises up six stories with the highest point reaching 206 feet above ground. The structure has withstood earthquakes although extensive repairs were completed in order to bring it up to current building code standards.
