Description:
Named for the world's largest bristlecone pine, this lovely and peaceful grove has picnic tables, restrooms, and interpretive trails. The last dozen miles to the grove will have you driving on a rough, unpaved road, so go slowly to minimize the possibility of a flat tire. Take CA-168 to White Mountain Rd., drive 22 miles, and turn right. About one mile up, you'll see the grove.
