Elephants have been revered in Eastern cultures as intelligent and wise. Shepard Fairey was on to something when he created this mural on the side of the West Hollywood Library. His elephant, holding a large flower in its trunk and trailed by a golden dove, conveys a message of strength combined with tolerance, freedom, and creativity. The renowned artist, who made his mark with his Obama "Hope" image, has provided Los Angeles with an image that perfectly encompasses its larger-than-life personality.
Not really easy to get to due to the construction surrounding the mural but definitely worth the detour
