This bronze, termite-and-ant-eating statue lurks near the Bren Events Center non the UCI campus. It was created just over 50 years ago, the winner of a raging debate over the choice of mascot. While this odd-looking mammal might not be as fierce as a Trojan or Bruin, you gotta love an animal that eats those pesky house-destroying termites!(Submitted by Amar Chauhan)
