Description:

This historic building was opened in 1869 back in the days when Los Angeles was small and unassuming. It started out as a luxury hotel commissioned by Pio Pico, the last Mexican governor of Alta California. Today, it sits across from Olvera Street - a landmark that has been featured in commercials and TV shows. It is rumored to be haunted and thus has also made an appearance on "Ghost Adventures."
