Description:

A rocky coastline is the site of an 1875 lighthouse which still guides ships today. It's also near to the largest elephant seal rookery on the West Coast. Tours of the lighthouse are provided, although via online reservation only. For ticket purchases visit the recreation.gov website. However, the elephant seal rookery is free to visit. To get to the seal rookery parking lot from the lighthouse, travel south on Cabrillo Hwy for about 1 mile. You'll see the parking lot on your right-hand side. The seal rookery is open from Thursday to Monday, 10 AM to 2 PM.
