Description:

Point San Luis Lighthouse is the only Prairie Victorian lighthouse remaining on the West Coast. The 40-foot structure was built in 1890. The grounds are framed by coastal mountains and the lighthouse is situated on a cliff perch on the Central Coast overlooking the Pacific Ocean. You can also see the breakwater to your left, jutting out of San Luis Bay. To get there take Avila Beach Drive from the 101. Drive approximately 4 miles to Diablo Canyon Rd. A short distance ahead, you'll make a left onto Lighthouse Rd. Go for about 1.5 miles and you should see the lighthouse parking lot. If you're around during summertime, check the lighthouse website for live concert events!
