Queen Califia's Magical Circle Garden

French-American artist Niki de Saint Phalle created this colorful sculpture garden as one of her last works of art shortly before she died in 2002. The garden, named after the fictional queen of the island of California, was opened posthumously in 2003. With mystical creatures and boldly colored flowing structures the garden has a slight Gaudi-esque flavor. If you aren't able to enter the circle, you can see the structures from the park trails.
